It is no secret that paisley print is a guilty pleasure of mine. It’s playful, over the top whimsy makes me smile every time I see it. I enjoy the pattern so much that my old lime-gold mustang bore it as her name: Paisley Damage (she was a fierce bitch). She’s since been replaced with a black Jeep Wrangler named “Foxy Black… but I digress.

Etro has been using the pattern since they began producing furniture textiles in 1981, and that motif has become their signature. This tie showcases the brand’s ability to bring something fun, fascinating, and new out of a pattern nearly as old as time itself; the distinctive shape can be traced back as far as 200A.D.
